Licence to fish

There are few stretches of water that you can fish without asking permission first; getting a day ticket or joining a fishing club.

The artist David Miller paints the beautiful images that go on the licences. Not seen the new images for this year yet, but here is a copy of one of the images from his website.

Additionally, to fish rivers or still waters you must posses a valid rod licence and be prepared to show it when requested by an Environment Agency Fisheries Enforcement Officer or other authorised person.
The licence lasts for a year, ending 31st March.
Buying a new rod licence is easy – you can buy them from the Post Office; or over the telephone on: 0344 800 5386
